The Taipei District Court has ruled to keep former Taipei Mayor Ko Wen-je under detention incommunicado for another two months.
Taipei Prosecutors indicted Ko and 10 others on December 26th on charges of corruption, influence peddling, embezzlement and breach of trust.
The charges were related to the political donations to the TPP, the party that Ko founded and served as its first chairman, and the Core Pacific City project.
The Court granted prosecutors' request to put Ko under detention in early January for three months on flight and collusion risks, and the term will expire on April 2nd.
Ko's lawyer filed an application of release from prison on bail for Ko on the grounds that he had hematuria and kidney stones and suffering from severe pain.
