Fog and Storms Disrupt Flights at Penghu, Taichung, and Matsu Airports

Heavy fog and thunderstorms caused flight disruptions at Penghu, Taichung,
and Matsu’s Nangan and Beigan airports.



At Taichung International Airport, thunderstorms halted ground operations
around noon today.

Flights were allowed to land, but passengers had to wait on board until
ground crews could resume work.



At Penghu Airport, thick fog and thunderstorms forced two temporary
closures at 10:15 a.m. and 11:54 a.m.

A total of nine flights on the Taipei-Penghu route were affected, impacting
465 passengers.



At Matsu’s Nangan and Beigan airports, low cloud cover and dense fog led
to brief closures also around noon, lasting for about three hours.

A total of four flights were canceled, and some travelers opted to take
ferries instead, keeping airport crowds minimal.
