The National Immigration Agency says that it will revoke the resident permit of a Chinese influencer who "openly advocated for {China's} unification through military force" with Taiwan.
The Chinese national, surnamed Liu, will have her residence permit revoked in accordance with Article 14 of the "Measures for the permission of family-based residence, long-term residence, and settlement of people from the Mainland Area in the Taiwan Area."
That's according to the NIA.
They say that Liu made these comments on her douyin account, which has nearly 400,000 followers.
Her statements violate regulations governing Chinese nationals residing in Taiwan, according to the NIA.
Liu's residence permit is based on her marriage to a Taiwanese citizen.
She will not be allowed to apply for a family-based residence permit for another five years.
Liu has reportedly been granted time to get her family affairs in order before she departs.
