Weeks after crash, Air Force lifts Brave Eagle jet trainer flight ban

The Air Force has lifted a flight ban on its fleet of Brave Eagle advanced jet trainers.
The Air Force said the decision to lift the flight ban came after thorough inspections of its 40 other advanced jet trainers... and increased simulator training for air crews.
While enginge failure has been named as the probable cause of the crash, the Air Force says a special task force is still looking into the exact cause of the incident.
That task force is comprised of members of the Air Force's flight training department and experts from aircraft developer, Aerospace Industrial Development Corporation.
The fleet was first grounded on February 15 after one pf the planes crashed in waters off Taitung during a training session.
The pilot was able to eject and parachute to safety.
He sustained minor injuries and had been hospitalised for two days before he was discharged.
