K-M-T Vice Chairman Andrew Hsia is leading a delegation of party officials to the United States this week.
Party sources say the visit is aimed at "directly communicating with core figures in the Trump administration."
The director of the K-M-T's representative office in Washington D.C. says the delegation will be working to ensure the Trump White House "correctly and deeply" understands the party's priorities, including diplomacy, national defense and cross-strait issues.
The K-M-T has not released any details of the delegation's itinerary - saying such information will not be made public for the time being "due to a mutual understanding between our party and the Trump administration."
However, a party spokesperson has said the delegation to the U-S will conduct "deep exchanges and comprehensive discussions" with members of the Trump government, Congress and think tanks on bilateral priorities and other issues of mutual concern.
The delegation includes lawmaker Chen Yong-kang; National Sun Yat-sen University Professor Andrew Yang and Alexander Huang, the KMT's head of international affairs.
