MND reporting six Chinese Air sorties and three balloons

The Ministry of National Defense says it detected six Chinese Air sorties
operating in the Taiwan Strait from between 6AM Wednesday and 6AM today.

Of those sorties, one bomber crossed the median line of the Taiwan Strait ..

... while two fighter jets were operating north of Taiwan proper.

The balloons were spotted in skies some 50, 60 and 75 nautical miles
northwest of Taichung at altitudes of between
22,000 and 28,000 feet before
disappearing.


Five Chinese Navy ships were also detected operating in the general vicinity
of the Taiwan Strait over the same 24-hour period.
