Legislative Speaker Han Kuo-yu says his cross-party delegation visit to the
U-S maintained a united front and has been pleased to see bipartisan support
for Taiwan among members of Congress.

Han said he and Taiwan's top representative to the U-S Alexander Yui joined
other guests at the Capitol Visitor Center to watch the inauguration ceremony
on a large screen ...

.. and he and Yu were standing no more than 25 meters away from the American
president when he gave a short speech at Emancipation Hall following the
swearing-in ceremony.

Han said the delegation has met with a number of Trump administration
officials in charge of Taiwan and Asian affairs and also visited think tanks
affiliated with both the Democratic and Republican parties to discuss
Taiwan-US relations.

Han said the discussions focused on future bilateral cooperation, security,
technology, business, education and culture.

The delegation is scheduled to arrive back in Taiwan today.
