Taiwan's Coast Guard drove away four intruding Chinese vessels this morning in restricted waters south of Kinmen.
According to the Coast Guard Administration, it detected the intruding vessels at 7:00 AM, and immediately dispatched four patrol ships to respond.
The CGA said the Chinese vessels repeatedly intruded into the area near Jhaishan (翟山), but exited the area by noon...after the Taiwanese patrol ships issued bilingual radio warnings demanding them to leave.
The Coast Guard said that there have been 56 such incidents over the past year.
It re-affirmed its commitment to safeguarding national sovereignty and Taiwan's maritime security.
