Taoyuan International Airport Braces for Lunar New Year Passenger Influx

Taoyuan International Airport predicts a surge in passenger numbers starting
January 20th, marking the beginning of the Lunar New Year travel rush.

The airport says the peak period spans the entire holiday season, with
February 2nd -- the fifth day of Lunar New Year -- expected to see a
passenger volume of 150 thousand.

The official holiday transportation period runs from January 24th to February
3rd, with 14 charter flights and 103 additional flights arranged to
accommodate over 1.59 million passengers.

Average daily passenger volume is estimated at 142 thousand -- a 10% increase
from last year.
