The Ministry of Foreign Affairs says Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung's recent trip to Europe was part of efforts to promote a"comprehensive diplomacy" aimed at deepening ties between Taiwan and the European Union.
Lin visited the European Parliament headquarters in Brussels as well as Lithuania, and Poland.
The foreign ministry described the trip as "very fruitful" and said it would help to strengthen cooperation in the Taiwan-EU Democratic Alliance.
Lin held talks with the vice-president of the European Parliament's trade committee and the head of the European Parliament's Taiwan Friendship Group while in Brussels.
He marked the third anniversary of the establishment of Taiwan's representative office in Lithuania at a ceremony in Vilnius.
And he witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Taiwan-Polish Chamber of Commerce and the Polish-Taiwan Chamber of Commerce while in Warsaw.
The foreign ministry says it will continue to promote "comprehensive diplomacy" with Europe in order to build a solid and mutually beneficial value alliance,
