Former President Ma Ying-jeou's foundation has invited 40 Chinese students to
meet with their counterparts from Taiwanese universities during a nine-day
visit to Taiwan.

Ma Ying-jeou Foundation C-E-O Hsiao Hsu-tsen says visiting students come from
seven universities in China and are scheduled to arrive in Taiwan on November
27.

According to Hsiao, the Chinese students would meet with their counterparts
from six schools here including the National Taiwan University, the National
Tsing Hua University and the National Chengchi University.

They will also visit the Taipei Municipal Zhong Shan Girls High School for
the first time.

The Ma Ying-jeou Foundation C-E-O says the former president firmly believes
there needs to more exchanges so interactions between the young people from
both sides can help them to build a better understanding of each other.

Hsaio also says that the visit was in line with President Lai Ching-te's
hopes for healthy and orderly exchanges between Taiwan and China.

The Ma Ying-jeou Foundation previously invited Chinese students to Taiwan
last year.
