Andy Lau's concert suspended

Singer-song writer and movie star Andy Lau's agency has just announced the
cancellation of tonight's performance.

The agency Super Dome says it made the decision after receiving a notice from
Taipei Metro, the company that manages Taipei Arena, the venue for the
concert.

Taipei Metro says for safety reasons, it has notified Lau's agency that the
concert, titled "Today is the Day", would be canceled.

The announcement is made after several rounds of negotiations between the
company and the agency.

The agency had insisted until this morning that the performance would go
ahead as planned.

There's no word yet on when the concert will be rescheduled.
