MND Assures Chinese Rocket Carrying Satellite No Danger to Taiwan

The Ministry of National Defense says that a Chinese rocket launched this
morning posed no threat to Taiwan, as its trajectory was outside the
atmosphere.

According to the MND, at 10:33 AM, the Chinese military launched a rocket
carrying a satellite from its Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in Shanxi
Province towards the Yellow Sea.

The rocket traveled southward, passing through Taiwan's eastern Air Defense
Identification Zone, towards the sea east of the Philippines.

The MND says it closely monitored the situation using joint intelligence,
surveillance, and reconnaissance systems.
