The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is thanking QUAD members for reaffirming the belief in the need for peace and stability in Taiwan Strait.
MOFA says that as a responsible member of the Indo-Pacific, Taiwan will continue to collaborate with like-minded partners to safeguard peace, stability, and prosperity in the Taiwan Strait and the broader region.
The statement was issued after talks between U-S President Joe Biden hosted Japanese Prime Minister Kishida Fumio, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Quad Leaders Summit in Wilmington, Delaware.
The leaders voiced their opposition to any attempt to change the "status quo" in the Taiwan Strait.
