Several hundred people have marched in New York in support of Taiwan's entry to the United Nations.
The rally was organized to coincide with the ongoing 79th session of the U-N General Assembly.
Organizers say more than 500 attended the rally - which was higher than previous years.
This year's rally was held under the theme of "United and Marching Forward, Supporting Taiwan's Entry into the U-N."
Led by D-P-P lawmaker Zhang Ya-ling and Taiwan People's Party lawmaker Wu Chun-cheng, participants marched from Taiwan's representative office in midtown Manhattan to the New York Public Library.
According to the organizers, the rally attracted young Taiwanese expats and international students
New York representative office Director Tom Lee says the march was aimed at explaining U-N Resolution 2758 to the international community and calling for Taiwan's meaningful participation in the global body.
