Around 2-thousand cyclists are set to tackle one of the toughest peaks in the world this weekend.
The Chinese Taipei Cycling Association says the "2024 NeverStop Wuling" cycling event takes place September 7th, from 5am to 3pm, with riders taking on the 54-kilometer route through Puli, Wushe and all the way up Wuling.
The Highway Bureau says it is issuing a detour advisory for the event, due to the large number of participants and the event falling on a weekend.
The bureau says volunteers, police and traffic officers will be on hand along the route, and tourists are advised to plan alternative routes to avoid potential disruptions to their travel plans.
