To her fans' great delight, Taiwanese song icon Jiang Hui will return to the
spotlight on October 5th at Taipei Dome for National Day celebrations.

She will be there at the invitation of Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan-an, who
announced last week that he was hoping to bring back Jiang to mark Taipei
Dome's first non-sports event.

Chiang said at the time that he's a loyal fan of Jiang and that he believes
only she is worthy of such a historic occasion.

In a statement, the superstar has expressed her thanks for giving her a
chance to pick up the microphone again, saying she's honored to be invited.

Jiang retired in 2015 after an over three-decade career that saw her winning
13 Golden Melody Awards and selling millions of albums.

The singer's announcement to quit the stage shocked fans, and her good-bye
concerts in Taipei and Kaohsiung caused a riot when fans vyed for tickets,
forcing her agency to quickly add 9 additional performances.
