The Taoyuan Prosecutors' Office has indicted former Vice Premier and Taoyuan Mayor Zheng Wen-can and 10 others on corruption charges.
Prosecutors are seeking a hefty punishment of 12 years of imprisonment for Zheng.
Zheng has been under detention without communications with the outside world since July 11th after two rounds of release on bail and prosecutors' protests.
Prosecutors say Zheng had denied any wrongdoing, but he did receive 5 million NT in bribe money for the Lin-kou Industrial Zone project.
Although Zheng returned the money months later, prosecutors say his action still constitutes corruption.
