And in the latest news about Taiwan's Olympic team at the Summer Games,

Weightlifter Kuo Hsing-chun has won bronze in the women's 59-kilogram
category in Paris.

Kuo overcame a hip injury and managed a snatch of 105-kilograms and a clean
and jerk of 130-kilograms for combined lift of 235-kilograms.

Kuo is now the first Taiwanese athlete to have won three Olympic medals.

She bagged a bronze in the 2016 Rio Games, and a gold in Tokyo three years
ago.

And taekwondo athlete Luo Jia-ling has been eliminated in the women's 57
kilograms category.

Luo is Taiwan's only taekwondo athlete in the 2024 Olympics.

She lost in to straight bouts to her Lebanese opponent.

Luo made her Olympics debut at the 2021 Tokyo Games when she won a bronze
medal at the age of 19.

However, she was plagued by a left ankle injury for months in the run-up to
the Paris Games.

Taiwan is now sitting in 46th place in the Paris Olympics overall medals
table - with one gold and five bronze.
