Tseng Chih-yung Appointed as New Head of Indigenous Peoples Council

Tseng Chih-yung (曾智勇) has been named the new Minister of the Council of Indigenous Peoples.
A Paiwan tribe member from Pingtung, Tseng has dedicated over two decades to public service, focusing on indigenous affairs and cultural promotion.
As the the Director-General of the Indigenous Peoples' Cultural Development Center, he has significantly contributed to bringing Taiwan's indigenous culture to the international stage and fostering connections between local tribes and cultural institutions.
Tseng's work includes the internationalization of traditional dances and the preservation of indigenous tattoos, aiming to inspire the younger generation to embrace their heritage.
His appointment is part of broader efforts by Taiwan's government to enhance indigenous autonomy, language revitalization, and public health.
