Special Hualien Trains for Tomb-Sweeping Day: Booking Starts 3/13

Hualien and Taiwan Railways are launching two special trains between Taipei
and Hualien on April 3rd and 7th, in response to the travel surge during the
Tomb-Sweeping holiday.

Online ticket bookings will begin at noon next Wednesday.

The Taroko Express, with 376 seats available, offers tickets at 200 NT for
adults and 100 NT for concessions.

Eligibility extends to Hualien residents, those with an ID starting with "U",
and Hualien workers, including their spouses and direct relatives.

A real-name system will be enforced for boarding.

Tickets allow transfers to designated local trains for stations south of
Hualien.

Booking is available through the Hualien County Government's official
website, with a standby list option once sold out.
