President and VP to Receive Japan Delegation

President Tsai ing-wen is set to receive a delegation of Japanese officials
later today.

The group led by Tokyo Governor Yuriko Koike will meet with Tsai and Vice
President Lai Ching-te in the afternoon and exchange views on issues of
concern.

A Presidential Office spokesperson says the government sincerely welcomes
Yoike and the Japanese representatives, and hopes that through this visit,
Tokyo and Taiwan will further strengthen their substantive exchanges and
cooperation, and deepen the mutual trust and friendship between the people of
Taiwan and Japan.
