The visiting chair of the American Institute in Taiwan says Washington is "disappointed" by Nauru's decision to sever ties with Taiwan in favor of Beijing.
Laura Rosenberger said she was disappointed by what she called Nauru's "distorted" statement, where she claimed their decision was consistent with the "one-China principle in line with United Nations Resolution 2758."
Rosenberger also delivered a warning to the Nauru government...
Rosenberger went on to praise Taiwan as a "reliable like-minded and democratic partner" and said the U-S will continue to support its meaningful participation in the international community consistent with its longstanding one-China policy.
