Construction Site Accident in Kaohsiung Claims Worker’s Life

A construction site accident today resulted in the death of a worker in Kaohsiung.
The accident took place at the intersection of Wen Heng and Minsheng Roads, where a subcontractor was working on a sewage pipeline project.
The man was buried alive when soil and rocks suddenly collapsed, trapping him about 3 meters underground.
The Kaohsiung City Fire Department received the emergency call before noon and promptly dispatched a rescue team consisting of 42 personnel with 13 vehicles.
The rescue operation, which lasted nearly two hours, ultimately succeeded in extracting the worker from the debris.
However, he was found to have no signs of life upon rescue.
The man was rushed to a hospital for emergency treatment but was pronounced dead around 2 p.m.
The incident has raised concerns about construction site safety, and the exact cause of the accident is currently under investigation by relevant authorities.
