Both the K-M-T and the Taiwan People's Party have separately announced that
they will be naming their vice presidential candidates and registering their
election candidacies with the Central Election Commission this morning.

The K-M-T released a statement late last night - saying it will convene a
Central Standing Committee meeting this morning to endorse its presidential
and vice-presidential candidates.

It added that Hou and his running mate are expected to register their
candidacies at 11:45AM at the Central Election Commission.

The T-P-P has also released short statement last night saying Ko and his
running mate will officially register their candidacies at 11:00AM.

However, that statement didn't disclose the identity of Ko's running mate.

The presidential and vice presidential candidates have until 5:30PM today to
register with the Central Election Commission.
