Ko Wen-zhe's sister joined legislative elections

Ko Mei-lan (柯美蘭), TPP Presidential nominee Ko Wen-zhe's sister, has
announced her candidacy for the legislative elections in Hsin-chu as an
independent.

She says today that her brother did ask her if she wanted to represent the
TPP for the race, and her answer was no.

Noting that the campaign will be a difficult one without the support of a
political party, she says her goal is to serve everyone.

Ko Mei-lan, an eye doctor at NTU Hospital's Hsin-chu Branch for years, says
she wants to shoulder greater responsibilities as "it's the mission given to
her by God."

She will face three strong competitors from the DPP, the KMT, and the NPP in
her electoral district.
