Unemployment Benefits Can Be Applied For Online

If you're out of work and stuck at home, remember that you can apply for
unemployment benefits online.

The Ministry of Labor is reminding people the online application system for
benefits has been open since July 1st.

The system allows individuals who are involuntarily unemployed to apply
without visiting service centers.

Applicants must first register and create a job seeker profile on the "Taiwan
Jobs" website.

They must then upload required documents to finish the application, before
contacting a public employment service agency to arrange an interview, which
can be conducted over video or in person.

The Ministry says this service aims to provide convenience, particularly for
those in remote areas or facing transportation challenges.
