The Ministry of National Defense has declined to confirm U.S. military's
establishment of a Joint Training Team in Taiwan

But in its 2024 budget for the Army Command, there's fund for the "U.S. Joint
Training Team Logistics Support Group and related expenses for managing arms
and ammunition equipment storage.

According to local news reports, the program will fully integrate training
for the procurement of new weapons and equipment by the Taiwanese military.

The reports also said that the U.S. team is composed of approximately more
than 200 members.

The MND did confirm that the U.S. military plans to relocate reserve
ammunition and other military supplies from the Asia-Pacific region to
Taiwan; however, the specific projects and types of ammunition are still
under negotiation.

Taiwan's military personnel will participate the Man-Portable Air Defense
System project in the U.S. next year for the first time, as well as attending
meetings related to the Land-Based Anti-Ship Missile System.
