Former Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull is visiting Taiwan this
week for the first.

Turnbull was in Taiwan at the invitation of the Center for Asia-Pacific
Resilience and Innovation.

At a forum in Taipei marking the think tank's first anniversary, the former
Australian prime minister warned against the rise of authoritarianism ...


Turnbull also stressed the need for the world's democracies must work
together to face the threat of disinformation.



The former Australian Prime Minister also said that even Taiwan is not immune
to the spread of disinformation, which has the power to convince the public
that what he called "consequential lies" were the truth.
