National Health Insurance Copayments Subsidized by 50% for 9 Months

Starting tomorrow, the Executive Yuan is subsidizing 50-percent of National
Health Insurance copayments.

This will have a positive impact on an estimated 2.8 million people.

The subsidy applies to policyholders who have paid their premiums for April
to December 2023 before October 31, 2025.

Those who miss the payment deadline will not be eligible.

Assuming a monthly premium of 1,186 NT for general policyholders, their
payment would be reduced to 593 NT for nine months, meaning timely paying
policyholders can receive a maximum of 5,337 NT with this subsidy.

The initiative aims to increase the premium payment rate from 41% to 50%.

The premium payment slips for April to December would be sent out this year
in May, July, September, November, and next year in January.
