The An-Keng light rail is now charging full-fare for rides following a month-long trial operation - when passengers were able to ride the line for free
The 7.5-kilometer light rail is now operating daily between 6AM and midnight, with journeys under 5-kilometers costing 20 N-T and those above 5-kilometers costing 25 N-T.
According to the New Taipei Metro Corporation, passengers made some 430,000 trips during the month-long trial operation.
The line runs between Shuang-Cheng Station and Shi_Si-Zhang Station and will reduce commute times between An-Keng and the Greater Taipei area by 15-20 minutes.
The metro corporation says the line is expected to carry 53,000 trips per day.
