Danjiang Bridge Fireworks Show on New Year's Eve

New Taipei city is getting ready for the fireworks show on New Year's Eve.

Mayor Ho Yo-yi says it will take place at 8:22 PM that night and last 13
minutes and 14 seconds.

Ho says the Chinese 1-3-1-4 sounds similar to the phrase "for a lifetime",
and the theme of the fireworks show is "love you for a lifetime".

The mayor says 10-thousand pyrotechnic devices will explode high above the
night sky over the Dan-shui River.

It will also highlight Dan-jiang Bridge across the river's estuary. It's
under construction now and scheduled to complete in 2024.

The Mayor says people would still have time to go watch the Taipei 101
fireworks show at midnight after enjoying the Dan-jiang Bridge one.
