Second US Congressional Delegation this Month Arrives in Taiwan

A bipartisan U-S congressional delegation led by House Committee on Veterans' Affairs chair Mark Takano has arrived in Taiwan.
The delegation arrived at Taipei Songshan Airport aboard a U-S military C-40 Clipper transport plane.
The trip marks the second U-S congressional delegation visit Taiwan this month.
According to the American Institute in Taiwan, other members of the delegation include representatives Nancy Mace, Colin Allred, Elissa Slot-kin, and Sara Jacobs.
A-I-T says the their two-day visit is part of a larger visit to the Indo-Pacific region, but is a previously unannounced leg of the delegation's ongoing Thanksgiving holiday visit to American service members and veterans in Japan and South Korea.
Members of the delegation are reportedly slated to hold talks with President Tsai Ing-wen and visit the Ministry of National Defense and Veterans Affairs Council.
Those talks are expected to focus on US-Taiwan relations, regional security, and other issues of mutual interest.
