A-Mei May Perform at Taipei Arena Next Year

Pop star A-Mei is making preparations for her shows next year.

Her agent has confirmed reports that singer Zhang Hui-mei will hold concerts
in the coming months, but declined to give any details.

A local tabloid reported that A-Mei is expected to return to Taipei Arena in
late March or early April after her last performances there in 2015 prompted
strong protests from local residents.

They complained that the loud noises generated by her fans were way beyond
the permissible level.

The report said after communications with Taipei Arena, the singer had
reached an agreement to return to the venue.

But her agent says many things are still under discussions and won't be
finalized soon, adding that the possibility of having A-Mei perform in Taipei
is high.
