Three Chinese Aircraft Breach ADIZ

The Ministry of National Defense says three Chinese military aircraft have
made incursions into the island's southwestern air defense identification
zone.

The aircraft included two Shenyang J-11 fighter jets and one Y-8
anti-submarine warfare aircraft.

They were spotted southwest of Taiwan, between Taiwan proper and the Dongsha
Islands.

The Air Force responded by scrambling planes to monitor the Chinese aircraft,
issuing radio warnings, and mobilizing air defense assets until they Chinese
aircraft left the area.
