The Central Weather Bureau is warning that a seasonal northeasterly wind system is expected to begin gaining strength from today - meaning overnight temperatures could dip to as low as 19-degrees in the north this coming weekend.
According to the bureau's forecast center, the strength of the wind system is expected to become more apparent on Friday and Saturday and daytime highs in areas north of Taichung are likely hit around 25-degrees.
The seasonal northeasterly wind system is forecast to have little affect in the south, where daytime highs are expected to remain at about 30-degrees.
The weather bureau says although the seasonal winds are unlikely to bring much rain to the south, sporadic showers can be expected in the Greater Taipei area, Keelung and Yilan.
