Premier: Minimum Wage Hike to Benefit Millions
Posted on 2021-10-14 19:12:02
Premier Su Tseng-chang says the upcoming minimum wage hike is expected to
benefit millions.
The Ministry of Labor's Minimum Wage Review Committee decided last week to
increase the minimum wage by 5.21-percent.
This change is set to go into effect starting January 1st next year.
Su points out that this increase is the sixth wage hike under the Tsai
administration, and also the highest in 15 years.
The premier says the change is expected to benefit 2.45-million workers.
