Investigations into the cause of this morning's deadly Kaohsiung fire are still underway, but mayor Chen Chi-mai says they cannot rule out human error as the source just yet.
45 people are currently confirmed as dead from the blaze, with another 41 people injured.
Rescuers are still trying to find people in the building.
Fire officials' initial impression is that the blaze began on the first floor.
Chen says further investigation is still required to find the actual cause, and no conclusions can be drawn yet.
Premier Su Tseng-chang has traveled to Kaohsiung to meet with fire victims.
The Ministries of the Interior and of Health and Welfare have also sent top officials to help as well.
