Over a third of all Taiwan residents have now been at least partially vaccinated.
Health Minister Chen Shi-chung says 8.4 million people have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, bringing the vaccination rate to over 34-percent.
Two thirds of those people received the AstraZeneca vaccine shot, while the others got the Moderna alternative.
But only 106-thousand people got vaccinated yesterday, that's less than half of the number when vaccine supply was adequate.
The Minister also reports that in total, 548 people died one day to two months after being vaccinated, with 85-percent of them taking the AZ vaccine.
Judging from the autopsies of 124 cases, experts have concluded that the majority of the deaths were related to chronic illnesses.
