The city government has revealed the standards it will be using to determine if it is safe enough for restaurants to reopen.
The city would have to see less than 10 confirmed infections a day on average, with no more than two patients with unconfirmed infection chains.
If reopened, restaurants could serve up to 50 people at a time indoors, though they would have to distance or have barriers in between them, with individual diners the goal.
If any infections are reported among diners or staff, an eatery would have to close for 3 days, and could only offer take-out services for 11 days after that.
Mayor Ko Wen-je will make an announcement about the upcoming week tomorrow.
If allowed, indoor dining could resume next Tuesday.
