Taroko Mountain-Moon Bridge Closed for Maintenance

A tourist hotspot in Taroko Gorge National Park will soon be closed for
maintenance.

The Mountain-Moon Bridge was opened to the public in August last year, but
closed off due to the level 3 alert in May.

After restrictions were eased earlier this month, the suspension bridge
became available for visits for 400-people who made reservations online each
day.

Now officials say the bridge will be off-limits again from August 4th to the
10th, while experts check the structure and conduct basic maintenance.

The 196-meter-long bridge hangs 152-meters above Li-wu Valley, offering views
of Swallow Grotto and the Bu-lu-wan terrace.
