5.9 million people vaccinated

Health Minister Chen Shichung says nearly 5.9 million people had been
vaccinated, pushing the vaccination coverage of the population to 24.35%.

Chen says 52% of those people received the AZ vacciine, while the rest got
Moderna.

Meanwhile the Central Epidemic Command Center has reported 8 deaths after
vaccination today, and one of them was a 36-year-old man who had auto-immune
diseases of heart failure and psoriasis.

The CECC says he died 13 days after receiving the Moderna vaccine shot, and
it's not clear whether the death is caused by the vaccine.

The CECC has so far recorded a total of 478 deaths after inoculation, with
89-percent of them after getting the AZ vaccine.
