National Central Library Goes Online Amid Outbreak Closure
Posted on 2021-05-25 15:24:04
The National Central Library is taking its services online, after temporarily closing to the public last week.
Officials say the library closed its Zhong-zhen District facilities to the public on May 15th, in line with orders issued by the Taipei City government.
But the library says many students are writing reports and theses at this time of the year, and need reference materials.
So the central library is now operating a hotline for people to call to request information.
The hotline provides photocopies of requested information from its archive of books, journals and theses, and the copies can be couriered to a designated address or picked up at the entrance of the central library.
The service will be provided free of charge.
And library officials say additional resources are available online, and are advising the public to refer to the National Central Library website for details.
