The man who flew his private helicopter 55 times in New Taipei's Dan-shui area has pleaded guilty.
At a Taipei District Court session today, the man, surnamed Chen, admits his wrongdoing and says he has donated the chopper to National Formosa University and offered lectures there.
Chen pleas for leniency, saying that he will never commit the same mistake again.
According to prosecutors, Chen flew his Robinson-R22 helicopter multiple times from January 2019 to October 2020 and once even landed on a crossroads.
Prosecutors indicted him on charges of failing to obtain proper licenses based on the Civil Aviation Act.
