After Prez. Address, KMT Reiterates Rejection of One Country Two Systems
Posted on 2019-10-10 13:06:13
The KMT has responded to the president's national day address.

In her Double Ten Day speech, Tsai Ing-wen rejected "One Country, Two
Systems," saying the protection of Taiwan's sovereignty was not a provocation
but a responsibility.

Shortly after her appearance, the opposition party released a statement
saying it has always been opposed to both "One Country, Two Systems" and also
Taiwan independance.

The KMT says it supports the so-called "'92 Consensus," which stipulates
there is only one China and both sides of the Taiwan Strait are free to
interpret that as they wish.

The party says they hope next year the people will vote to protect the
Republic of China.
