CEC Explains Rules Concerning NPP Huang's Recall Vote
Posted on 2017-12-05 15:15:13
The Central Election Commission is reminding everyone of the election rules
in the days leading up to December 16th's recall vote for lawmaker Huang
Guo-chang.

C-E-C officials say starting from the 6th, the release of poll results in any
manner will be banned, and the fine for violators is between half a million
NT and 5 million NT.

The C-E-C also says that during the campaign period that runs from the 6th to
the midnight of the 15th, individuals or political parties can only hold
events between 7 AM and 10 PM.

Beyond that time frame the activities have to be quiet so they do not disturb
nearby residents.

On voting day, no campaigning for votes is allowed on media or social
networking websites such as Line or Facebook.

New Taipei's Election Commission is scheduled to hold a televised seminar for
Huang and his critics on December 6th.
