Sea warning for Talim could be lifted today
Posted on 2017-09-14 10:49:13
The Central Weather Bureau is expected to lift its sea warning for Typhoon
Talim later today as the storm continues to move in a northerly direction
away from Taiwan.

The storm is currently located some 360-kilometers east-north-east of Taipei
and moving in a northerly direction at 8-kilometers-an-hour.

Talim is continuing to strengthen as it moves north away from the island and
is now packing sustained wind speeds of 173-kilometers-an-hour, with gusts of
up to 209-kilometers-an-hour.

The outer rim of Talim is expected to bring heavy rain to northern parts of
Taiwan today before it moves towards Japan from tomorrow.

The 19th tropical storm of this year's Pacific typhoon season formed
yesterday, but forecasters say Doksuri is unlikely to impact Taiwan.
