VP Registers for DPP's 2024 Primary

Vice President and D-P-P chairman Lai Ching-te has registered for the party's
2024 presidential primary.

Registration for the primary began on Monday and ends Friday.

Lai will give a brief explanation as why he's running for the presidency
after registering at the D-P-P's Taipei headquarters.

He was accompanied by former Pingtung County magistrate Pan Meng-an - who
will reportedly be appointed to head Lai's election campaign team.

Members of Lai's team are also meeting today to discuss difficult
constituencies and compile a list of possible candidates for the legislative
election, which will be taking place alongside the presidential election.
