Water Outage in Taoyuan Affecting Over 76,000 Households

The Taiwan Water Corporation has initiated an 18-hour water suspension
affecting over 76-thousand households across Taoyuan, due to construction at
the Longtan Water Treatment Plant.

The outage, starting at 8 AM today, impacts regions in Longtan (龍潭), Daxi
(大溪), Pingzhen (平鎮), Bade (八德), and Fuxing (復興) districts.

This is to facilitate a critical update involving high-voltage electrical
equipment inspections and integration of generators into the electricity
trading platform.

Residents have been advised to store water as the Department of Economic
Development coordinates with the water company to expedite the restoration
process.

The restoration of water services is scheduled for early tomorrow at 2 AM, as
the city works to minimize inconvenience and ensure safety.
