I lived in Denver, Colorado for most of my life until I moved to Tacoma, Washington for college in 2018. In college I studied Mandarin and Sociology & Anthropology. After I graduated, I moved to Taipei to get my master’s degree from NCCU and have stayed here since I graduated in 2024. I had previously studied abroad in Taichung and I found Taiwan to be a very interesting place, so I chose to move here after receiving an MOE scholarship.
Since I first came to Taiwan in 2019 to now, I have always found Taiwanese politics to be fascinating. I like to observe political events in the city. In my free time, I also like to read literary fiction in local parks and enjoy Taiwan’s fantastic teas. My favorite teas are Dong Ding 凍頂 Oolong, Tieguanyin 鐵觀音, and Tanpei 炭焙Oolong.
